The Shepherd’s House Project

The Summer 2019, a young adult team from Calvary Baptist Church in Oshawa ON will be joining EastARM in the Rufiji Tanzania to construct a house for a local pastor and his wife and young family living in a rural village of focus for our mission. The project funds have been fully raised, and the team are in preparation to come. Currently the pastor’s house is splitting in two from the foundation, with only one room for his wife and young daughter, newborn son, and a backed-up septic that fouls the air. We plan to upgrade the standard of living for this family, and we do so because God has been good to us, and Jesus loves them. See below photos of the rough plan for the new house, a construction itemized budget, and a picture of the family and church.

East Africa River Mission have accomplished past projects similar to the upcoming Shepherd’s House. Of note, the family home construction of 2018, which resulted in a formal partnership between a church in Chatham ON and the local Rufiji church community for whom they traveled to work and minister alongside.
